Dressage

Dressage is a sport, one of the three Olympic equestrian disciplines with show jumping and eventing. And this equestrian sport is the basis of all these equestrian disciplines. Dressage, more than being a sport, is a real art : it is like a dance and the rider creates music with the horse. Real staging of the rider-horse couple evolving in harmony. This fine art consists in making the horse evolve by expressing all the elegance, the grace of its movements.

Show jumping

Show jumping, competitive equestrian event in which horse and rider are required to jump, usually within a time limit, a series of obstacles that have been designed for a particular show. Jumping classes are commonly seen at horse shows throughout the world, including the Olympics. Show jumping tests the accuracy and athletic ability of both horse and rider.

Eventing

Eventing is an equestrian event which comprises dressage, cross-country and show jumping. The sport is best described as an equestrian triathlon. It has two main formats, the one day event (ODE) and the threeday event (3DE). An Olympic sport since 1912, eventing originated as a way to test the ability and endurance of military horses. The modern sport has evolved over the years ; in order to succeed, both horse and rider must be skilled in all three of these modern-day disciplines.

*All three of the equestrian disciplines are recognised by the FEI where men and women compete as equals in both individual and team events.

Paralympics

The Paralympics are Olympic style games for people with impairments. In the word Paralympics, para stands for parallel, meaning equal to, not paraplegic. Since 1988 they have taken place during the same year and in the same venue as the Olympics.

Eventhough we utterly and completely believe that the Paralympic athletes are our equals, we do not include it in our programmes (yet) as we do not have the experience nor do we have the expertise to successfully do so.
